Coconut Creamer FAQ

The Cleaner Creamer:  Organic flavor can’t be faked. That’s why you won’t find “natural flavors,” fillers, or bleached additives here. Just a splash of creamy, rich, plant-based goodness in every cup.

Why did you switch from coconut sugar to cane sugar?

We made the switch to organic cane sugar to give you a lighter, creamier coffee — without changing our commitment to clean ingredients. Organic cane sugar keeps it simple, keeps it organic, and lets your coffee look (and taste) exactly how you like it.

Is this the same product or has the formula changed too?

It’s better. We rebuilt the formula from the ground up to pour smoother, look lighter, and taste richer — all while staying true to MALK’s standards: organic, plant-based, and made without gums, oils, or “natural flavors.” It’s everything you loved, just upgraded for an even better coffee experience.

Is cane sugar less healthy than coconut sugar?

Not when it’s organic and used the way we do. Both are natural, minimally processed sweeteners — but organic cane sugar gives our creamer a cleaner, lighter taste and helps it blend beautifully into coffee without overpowering it. You’ll still get the same simple, better-for-you sweetness — just in a smoother, more balanced cup. However, if glycemic index is your primary concern, cane sugar does have a higher glycemic index rating than coconut sugar.

Does this mean the product is less “natural” or less “better-for-you”?

Not even close. Every ingredient is still certified organic and made to MALK’s clean-label standards — no gums, no oils, no “natural flavors.” The only thing that’s changed is how good it looks and tastes in your cup.

Does the cane sugar you are using contain bleach?

We use organic cane sugar and it does not contain bleach - our cane sugar does not have any added whitening agents or added ingredients to effect color.

I am allergic to coconut but not almonds, why would you make this change? Now I can't drink it!

This change came from consumer feedback asking for a creamier texture and a naturally lighter color in coffee. Organic coconut cream gave us both — without adding gums or oils. While this creamer now uses coconut as its base, our Almond MALK and Oat MALK lines are still completely coconut-free, so you can keep your mornings clean, safe, and delicious.

Why did you switch to coconut base— are the ingredients different now?

This change came from consumer feedback asking for a creamier texture and a naturally lighter color in coffee. Organic coconut cream gave us both. We rebuilt the formula from the ground up to pour smoother, look lighter, and taste richer — all while staying true to MALK’s standards: organic, plant-based, and made without gums, oils, or “natural flavors.”

Will this change the flavor of the creamer?

Yes, and that's the point. The new recipe is creamier, smoother, and more balanced, with the same organic flavor you love, just elevated. Switching to organic cane sugar and a coconut cream base makes the creamer taste richer and blend more naturally into your coffee — no aftertaste, no heaviness, just pure, delicious flavor that feels as good as it looks.

Will the sweetness level be the same?

Can't say it will be exactly the same, it will be different. These new creamers have a new formulation, so the coconut actually helps balance out the sweetness a bit more. We recommend starting with your usual amount and adjusting from there.

Will the creamer still have the same texture/consistency?
Not exactly — it’s better. The new formula is richer and creamier, giving you a true creamer experience without the gums or oils most brands rely on. It blends smoothly, pours beautifully, and makes your coffee taste like it came from your favorite café.

Why does the color of the creamer matter?

Most people want their cup to look light, creamy, and inviting — and our original recipe didn’t blend quite that way. The new formula uses organic coconut cream for a naturally lighter color and smoother pour, so your coffee not only tastes better but looks the way you expect it to.

Will my favorite current flavor still be available?

Once we are sold out of our current creamers we will not be replenishing them only the new coconut creamers will be available. We will still have the Vanilla flavor in one of the new creamers however the Caramel will no longer be available.

Did you discontinue the old creamers?

Yes, the Vanilla Almond and Caramel Almond creamers will be discontinued.

Does this switch align with your commitment to clean/simple ingredients?

ALWAYS!

Are you still using organic/non-GMO ingredients?

Yes!

Is the new packaging recyclable or eco-friendly?

It is!

Why does the packaging look different?

Because we listened. The new design makes it easier to spot your favorite flavor, highlights our clean ingredients right up front, and looks as fresh and modern as what’s inside. It’s the same MALK promise — organic, simple, and delicious — just dressed to impress.

Is the bottle size/serving size the same as before?

Yes, the bottle and serving size are still the same.

When will I see the new version in stores?

They are launching 1/1/2026 to most retailers that have accepted them.

Will both versions be available or only cane sugar going forward?

Once we are sold out of our current creamers we will not be replenishing them only the new coconut creamers will be available.

How can I tell if I’m buying the new or old formulation?

The packaging is completely different.. Look for our new Bold Blue, White, and Yellow bottles with the coffee cup.

Do I need to store it the same way as the old creamers?

Yes, just like our other refrigerated products, the new MALK creamer needs to be kept refrigerated. If left unopened, the product will be good until expiration. Once opened, your creamer will stay fresh for 7-10 days!

Has the price changed with the new line?

No it has not on our side!

Does cane sugar have a higher glycemic index than coconut sugar?

Sure! Here’s a clean, professional chart-style format:

Will the sugar content per serving change?
Product Name Sugar per Serving
Vanilla Almond Creamer 2g
Caramel Almond Creamer 3g
Vanilla Coconut Creamer 2g
Coconut Sweet Cream 2g
Unsweetened Creamer 0g

Why do these creamers separate?

Don’t worry, it’s totally natural—literally
Because we don’t use gums, emulsifiers, or oils, our coconut creamers may separate in the bottle. That’s actually a good thing. It means you’re getting real, organic ingredients—no weird stabilizers or shelf science. Just give it a good shake to bring it back together, and you’re good to go.

When will I be able to get it?

Since this product was just launched on 1/1/2026, it may take a little time to fully roll out across the market. Each retailer has their own timeline for bringing in new products, so availability can vary by location.

In the meantime, our store locator is a great way to find a retailer near you that may already be carrying it—or will be soon!

Thanks for your patience and excitement—we can’t wait for you to try it.
