How is MALK's shelf life so long? We use an ESL process, meaning our products see a touch of heat: less than 3 seconds of flash pasteurization for commercial sterility ensuring food safety and 365-day shelf life.
What is the difference in the refrigerated and shelf-stable MALK? The difference is in the processing which shelf stable undergoes Ultra High temperature pasteurization which eradicates all bacteria. This process enables the product to not be refrigerated due to its aseptic treatment. The other phase is the packaging such as our tetra which has an inner liner foil that preserves product under different climate conditions.
