Coconut MALK FAQ
MALK’s Unsweetened Coconut is made with just Organic Coconut Milk, Organic Evaporated Coconut Water, Himalayan Pink Salt. Creamy, clean, and craveable—without a single shortcut.
- You use coconut milk in coconut Malk, what is in the coconut milk and why do you not just make your own? Organic Coconut Milk is listed as an ingredient in our Coconut MALK because it comes in a very thick creamy form from Southeast Asia, where the coconuts are grown, harvested, and the coconut milk is extracted. To turn this thick creamy coconut milk into a drinkable beverage, we add water and the other ingredients at the manufacturing and bottling plant in the US.
- Why does coconut milk separate in the bottle? All of our products will separate naturally in the bottle because we do not use any gums, stabilizers, or emulsifers. Our brand core values are Health, Integrity, Simplicity, and Transparency -- Gums, stabilizers, and emulsifiers do not align with and are antithesis to our values of Health and Simplicity. Just like with fresh-squeezed OJ or cold-pressed juices, you have to shake MALK well before consuming.
- Why does coconut milk have chunks in it?
- Natural Separation: Coconut milk is a mixture where coconut oil (fat) is suspended in water. Because oil is less dense than water, it naturally rises and separates to the top over time.
- Temperature Influence: At cooler temperatures, the coconut oil may solidify, forming visible chunks or solid layers on top of the liquid portion.
- Does coconut milk contain added sugar? Malk Coconut milk does not contain added sugars in the unsweetened brand. The ingredients which comprise the product are Filtered water, organic coconut milk, organic evaporated coconut water, pink Himalayan salt with a total sugar % value of 2g.
